Privacy Policy

Effective: May 22, 2025

Your privacy matters to us. At Calmality, we follow a few core principles to protect your personal information:

  • We only collect personal information when it's necessary to provide or improve our services.
  • We will not sell your personal information directly to third parties.
  • We keep your information only as long as we need it for legitimate reasons.
  • We make it easy for you to manage what information is public, private, or permanently deleted.
  • We're committed to being transparent about how we collect, use, and share your information.

The following explains how we apply these principles in practice.

Information We Collect

We collect information about you only when we have a valid reason — such as providing our Services, communicating with you, or improving the Services.

This information comes from two main sources:

  1. Information you choose to provide
  2. Information we collect automatically when you use our Services.

Here's a breakdown of the types of information we collect.

From You

  • Account information: When you create an account, we collect details such as your name, email address, password, payment method, and transaction history.
  • Feedback: This includes any information you share through surveys, reviews, or other interactive features.
  • Payment details: If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing information, including your name, billing address, and payment method.
  • Profile information: We may collect optional profile details, such as a display name or profile photo.
  • Marketing and communication preferences: If you sign up for promotional emails or updates, we collect your name and email address for those purposes.

Automatically

  • Essential cookies and tracking technologies: We use cookies and similar tools to enable core features, such as remembering your settings and recognizing you when you use our Services.
  • Email engagement data: Our marketing emails may include web beacons that collect data about your device, email client, whether the email was received or opened, and any links you clicked.
  • Geolocation data: Some Services may collect regional location information based on your IP address or device settings.
  • Service interaction data: We gather details about how you use our Services, including your IP address, device type and ID, operating system, app version, session activity, time of requests, and performance data tied to specific features or contributions.
  • Website analytics: We automatically record information about how you interact with our website, such as the referring site, visit timestamps, pages viewed, and links clicked.

How We Use Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To deliver our Services — including setting up and managing your account, providing customer support, processing payments and orders, and verifying user details.
  • To maintain quality, ensure safety, and enhance our Services — by analyzing how users interact with our platform to improve usability, develop new features, and make our tools more effective and user-friendly.
  • To market our Services and evaluate our marketing efforts — by tailoring messages to user groups (e.g., based on plan type or account age), running marketing campaigns, analyzing their performance (such as conversions), and understanding user retention patterns.
  • To safeguard our Services and users — by identifying and preventing security incidents, fraud, spam, and other harmful activity; complying with legal obligations; and protecting the rights and property of Calmality and others. This may include, for instance, declining certain transactions or terminating access to our Services.
  • To troubleshoot and resolve issues — by monitoring, debugging, and proactively preventing technical problems.
  • To personalize your experience — by delivering relevant content, notifications, and advertisements tailored to your preferences.
  • To communicate with you — through emails or calls, whether it's to gather feedback, share tips, notify you about account-related updates, or offer promotions we think you'll find valuable. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time, though we'll still send essential account notifications.

In all cases, Cron Lists applies data minimization principles and collects only the Personal Information necessary to fulfill each purpose.

Sharing Information

We only share your information in limited situations, and always with safeguards in place to protect your privacy. Here are the circumstances where sharing may occur:

  • Third-party service providers: We may share your information with trusted vendors who help us operate and improve our Services. This includes payment processors (e.g., for handling credit or debit card transactions), fraud prevention tools, cloud storage providers, email and communication services, customer support platforms, analytics providers, marketing tools, and internal productivity software. All vendors are required to comply with strong privacy commitments.
  • Legal obligations: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or government request.
  • Protection of rights and safety: We may share information when we believe it's necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Calmality, our users, or the public. For example, if there's an immediate risk of harm, we may share information to respond to an emergency.
  • Business transfers: If Calmality is involved in a merger, sale, acquisition, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that process. If that happens, the terms of this Privacy Policy will continue to apply to your data.
  • With your consent: We may share your information when you explicitly give us permission or request that we do so.
  • Aggregated or de-identified data: We may share information that doesn't personally identify you, such as usage trends or hashed email addresses for ad campaign purposes.
  • Support requests: If you contact us for help, we may publish a sanitized version of your request (without personal details) to clarify or assist other users with similar issues.

How Long We Keep Information

We only retain your information for as long as it's needed for the purposes outlined in the How We Use Information section, unless we're required by law to keep it longer.

For example, we keep web server logs — which include data like IP addresses, browser types, and operating systems — for about 30 days. This helps us analyze traffic and troubleshoot issues that may arise on Cron Lists.

Your Privacy Rights

You have several rights when it comes to your personal information:

  • Opt out of marketing emails: You can choose to stop receiving promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages or by contacting us directly. Please note that even if you opt out, we may still send important service-related messages, such as account updates or legal notices.
  • Control cookie settings: You can configure your browser to block cookies. However, doing so may affect how certain features of our Services function.
  • Close your account: If you decide to stop using our Services, you can request to close your account. While we'll be sorry to see you go, we may retain certain information after account closure if required for legal reasons or legitimate business purposes — as explained in the How Long We Keep Information section.
